REEL INJUN documentary was an excellent way to take a look at stereotypes in regards to American Indians and film making. In order to make change one must recognize that there is a problem. I respect Cree film makers and Niel Diamond for creating a documentary recognizing that the movie industry have not done justice by the Native American population, and many movies that feature Native Americans were based on stereotypical behaviors. I challenge myself and others to take a look at your self and process where you are with judging a specific group based on what you’ve seen on television, newspapers and magazines. Remember, one must recognize first in order to make change.
